A leading Northern Law firm has announced it is representing hospitality businesses for Business Interruption Claims against a national insurance giant.
Barings Law, based in Manchester, will represent eight claimants in the Business Interruption Claims (BIC) against NFU Mutual, which was recently named Insurance Brand of the year, and covers motor, home, business, farming, investments, pensions and life cover.
The firm is representing claims from the hospitality industry which was one of the hardest hit industries in the unprecedented COVID-19 shutdowns.
Speaking about the claims, Craig Cooper, Managing Director at Barings Law explained the case will recommence in the High Court.
“We are pleased to be able to represent the claimants in this historic case, which seeks to provide justice to the businesses who were unfairly interrupted in COVID-19,” Mr Cooper explained.
“While the pandemic may seem like a distant memory to most of us, it’s important that all businesses receive adequate compensation for the losses they occurred.
“Here at Barings Law, we pride ourselves in being a positive force in the most unprecedented circumstances.”
Barings Law has continued to pave the way in BIC and has successfully negotiated hundreds of thousands of pounds in damages for its clients.
Mr Cooper said: “I am proud of the work we’ve done to help all businesses, not just those in the hospitality sector, and I urge businesses to check if they qualify for a claim.”
